Case Study – Compact Heat Exchange System

Heat exchange unit

  • Reverse engineering design and development of a compact but highly efficient heat exchange system using low voltage Peltier thermoelectric cooling chips
  • Collaboration with electrical engineering disciplines to manage and control varying degrees of temperature and power consumption towards accommodating a range of fluid pad configurations and sizes
  • Development of working mock ups for proving in system hardware, electronics and optimal pad fluid conduit channeling for even, sustainable results
  • Package fully developed in CAD and rapid prototyped from 3D package
  • Supplier and internal component sourcing
  • Finished functioning rapid prototype fabrication consisting of all sourced components sources and arrived at for optimal functionality
  • Managing field tests and compiling results to identify areas for user interface improvement and to provide working statistics for marketing purposes
